The bow animations were broken back in beta 2 for a long time, but finally fixed and at a later time they broke again..then fixed again...and in beta 4 they were also messed up, back to throwing stones, then they are fixed again in beta 5.

so that write up could have been at anytime...but the blurp you posted sounds like a current statement.
