A bug with the new xennu main quest line

after doing a series of 6 quests, 3 each time with the main guy in the gnome tent on the dragonspine coastline, it appears the quest bugs out when he tells you to speak with the golem in mekalia.

The quest giver teleports you to the golem, and you use the crystal you have to speak with the golem, and then you get a quest called "A golem's tale". after you speak with the golem, you get the quest marked as completed, but then you have no one to turn the quest into.

I tried deleting the quest and going back to the gnome in the tent and starting over. Tuff luck if you delete it you can't ever get it again.

I filed a bug report. This is a warning to others. If you get stuck, don't delete the quest because you can't ever get it back.

I completed the full access quest and completed the dungeon last night. Trying to recall this particular step though, you should have been able to talk to the golem after doing the lore portion and turn it back into him and get the follow up with the heroic rewards that sends you out to attune the crystals to 4 points around Islands of Madness and Strangleshore sp?. Did the golem despawn on you, and you have to exit out of the quest text with the npc then go back into it for it to show the completed green vs blue. That would of completed the quest and given you the follow up at that point. Only other possibility is the script bugging out because of multiple turn-ins since the golem is laying down when you first approach him to activate etc. Try going back to the golem and seeing if you can reactivate him thats were you should be not back at the gnome that teleports you to mekalia outside the wizard guild.

I appreciate your reply. I did go back to the golem but I cannot talk to him any longer without an activation crystal. I am assuming that you had to talk to the golem multiple times. But if you miss you chance and the golem deactivates, you are SOL. I must have missed one of the dialogues by accident, but it says no where to talk to the golem again, once you complete A golem's story or whatever the quest name was.

That is the point of the bug, I deleted the quest, hoping to to just go back and talk to the gnome again, but you are forever unable to complete the quest if you deleted it.

Again, just a warning to others out there, and I appreciate the response.

Ya, as a rule of thumb never delete quest especialy when there new. Your best bet is to find a guild member on the same step and tag along to get he dialogue with the Golem and progress the quest to the last step.

I will give that a try. Decent idea. I hope I can dialogue with him.
