I keep seeing people talking about soloing 5 and 6 dots at their level, even some in my guild and i may be a bit confused.
Whats the best anyone here has solod at their level ? As a DRK with above average gear i can fear kite a 4 dot the same level and win by a thread. It boggles me people are soloing mobs the same level as them that are 5 and 6 dots ? |

I think it depends or you race. I can solo as a Dk 5 dot with a couple of HP's left over. I use the fear kite like yourself but I can cast my racial as an Orc and regain HP back to almsot full. Our racial lets the next 5 attacks return life. So it's an easy macro to set up. Galm/Doom, and than shadow step with harrow and surpising enough the hp regen stacks from this. Other attacks to follow are simply hacks. Than back to fear kite again.
You can also try to distance yourself while the mod is feared to get a little extra time to regen also. It's a very simple tactic and it does work for me. DK have certain advantage that other tanks don't. If only we could hold aggro like a warrior.

I have soloed a few of the Rahz Inkur lvl 50+ 6dot named.
Zulthalis, Ahzek the Templar,Flare Maiden Overseer, Zull Flametail, The named giant, Heroic Minotaur, Cowardly Minotaur, Named Cyclops, Named Wyverncaller. I've tried Djarn a few times and gotten close. I'm sure its possible but very very hard to manage the train while killing him. All of this was done over a month ago, I havent played any in the last several weeks. As I've said other places Sigils imagination with mobs and their tactics is really lacking. I can easily see 24man raid mobs being soloable (given someone can stay alert for 6 hours of doing one mob). |

i am well aware of environment soloing, ala Thel or RoVT at my level getting mobs in walls or doors and just nibbling them to death.
I'm more talking about people soloing 4-5 even 6 dots they claim and i have yet to see legitamitely. I have a legendary weap, rare or heroic + armor, cull and such and even soloing a 4 dot is work and time consuming with resists and getting melee'd for 500 |

Psionicists can't do much in Rhaz Inkur, though.
Most mobs in the game seem to be very vulnerable to kiting. The better ranged damage a class has, and the faster their unmounted movement speed is, the better they solo mobs of 4dot or more. Druids seem best at this to me.

As a Cleric, I've soloed a white (even con) 4dot Spider in front of TK. Not easy. A few other blue. Always lost against yellow 4dots. At lvl 33 now, it's still the same. Killing a yellow+ (or a 5dots) doesn't seem possible. Maybe with insane gear.
I never tried with my Bard, but with a lot of arrows and a mob without range attack, a 6dot should be easy. There should be zero risk. Shamans have the reputation of being the best soloers. Bear pets are apparently able to tank 6dots without too much trouble... but I've never seen it. Necros too. Most classes can solo blue 4dots, though (except... Warriors, Monks, Rogues I guess.) Bear pets tanking 6 dotters is highly questionable. I haven't played for 3 or 4 weeks because of school, but I could solo 5 dotters within a few levels as a Tuurgin (bear) shm. I'm level 38 so it might change by 50 *shrug*. I never tried a 6 dotter but I suspect his regen would be too much post shm changes.

As a sorc I've done a couple of four dots of my level, but it's a real chore and takes every energy geneating trick I have to finish. I think I *could* do a five dot, but I just run out of mana before they go down.
Of course, usually if a get a couple of consecutive resists on snare/root I'm dead anyway, so it's a much shorter fight. :-)
