FIrst off corpses rot fairly quick, unless somone was on standby ur not selling a drop. Even if they did who cares, gear is so abundant in this game, camping anything for a long period of time is dumb. Not to mention that they would be farming those mobs regardless for loot, that happens in every game, its a pretty widely known fact that max level chars farm gear...

I left mop after about 3k faction, its not worth the time. In the time I knew people who got a full set of mop gear i made level 44, my level trumps their gear hands down. Not to mention starspark armor is actually equivalent and 50 times easier to get.

Levels are greater then any gear you can get. Even if you go back and farm gear after you are level 50 thats a game play that started well before wow, its an eq thing, maybe even an uo thing. Everyone in eq could have told you without hesitation that levels are greater then gear.

I'm actually surprised they locked corpses in the first place, and even more surprised it took this long to put in a command to unlock them. Especially since the raid function isn't in yet, doing guild runs through high level content is kind of pointless if you can't share drops with other group.

Game breaker? please if this makes you quit, then good riddance. (especially since the state of the game is.. well less then par, especially the 45+ content. If a trivial thing like this makes you quit after all the bs from release till now i'm just going to laugh.)

See on my side the competition, spawn racing, and blocking was the part that kept me in EQ. I hated the whiny little babies that VT keying was too hard, Velious dragon farming for ST keys was wrong, F that its competition and survival of the fittest

I get it just fine, in my opnion its a very trivial gripe. I don't think corpses should be locked at all, or at least locked to group for the first 5 mins or so then open to all. Most trash on mobs isn't worth selling.

As far as quest items go, people aren't camping those to ooc a sale. They will camp those mobs regardless for the item drops, thats why they are there in the first place. If he offloads a quest piece on somone that needs it (because you have to be of a certain level to get quests anyway) then oh well.

But think about it, farming for a non tradeable item? How much money will they really make? 1) The person would have be close by. 2) You assume farming soulbound crap is going to have a market. There are just to many ifs to make it a profitable market. If somone is doing it for a guildie, well thats what a guild is for. If they are doing it for an alt, well who doesn't try to twink their alts?

I wouldn't even bother ooc'n a soulbound item. Like i said earlier, gear in this game is so trivial anyway, its easy to gear out in rares and above.

Personally I'd be camping for rare droppable items and selling, much better profit. (if somone really wanted to make money though they'd take up crafting, crafters have the most money in this game.)

I can see the bot farms now. Gold/platinum tokens for sale near the Arena, MoP Eltha/Zalge runes for sale, Necropolis coins for sale.

Sure it's not an issue now, the servers are underpopulated, and most of the population is under level 35.

If I was farming Mino's outside the arena, and already had a Platinum challenge token, do you think it would take a lot of effort to sell one if it dropped? You don't think there's a market?

And it's not levels > gear, it's content > levels. Who cares if you level to 50 if there's no content available? How many threads on this forum alone have been bitching about that? We're not doing MoP because of the gear, we're doing it because MoP is the content.

Are you suggesting we should just abandon MoP and just grind to 50, then come back and make posts about how there's no level 50 content? Maybe bitch about how buggy it is? Are you tired of having the monopoly in that area?

So I guess since MoP is the content then DT, Graystone, Islands of Madness, Nesubie, the Island north of Tanvu, several non premier dungeons scattered about in southern Qualia with lvl 40-50 mobs should not be counted. I know for fact my static grp and others have been pulling gear out of these area's each night that blows MoP progression away. For many reasons time invested being the major one is what makes MoP not worth doing. The leveling speed is so fast now you can easily blow through MoP before you even get the needed faction.

I fully understand the concern with people monopolyzing spawns, its simple though if you don't want some guy camping the spawn to sell the item. Then wait there and force them out old school style just be prepared for the good ol drama that comes with it. Part of the problem with the current dungeon design is they call for constant movement. If you want to keep exp flowing there are few spots where you can make long distance pulling without mob pathing issues, the puller surviving, or playing roulette with the mem leaks.

The zones you are talking about are STILL being patched. I've been watching all the level 50's complain for the last month and a HALF that there is NO content for them...then as it slowly trickled in it was more complaining about how BUGGED said content was...and only now within the last two patches (go check the patch notes if ya don't believe me) have they started really getting into fine-tuning those 40+ dungeons.

So, while you may have RECENTLY (within the last week or two) started to see some stuff in the 45+ dungeons that outshines MoP, I know for a fact that the shit coming out of there in the last weeks prior to the zones being optimized was not better than level 38+ heroic and level 40 legendary items. If you think otherwise, then you havn't really done the comparisons.

I don't think playing in content that is unitemized and buggy and filled with uncompletable quests is anything worth bragging about. But I guess that's the difference between players who play for enjoyment and players who play for e-peen. I know I have a hell of a lot more fun in fully itemized, fully functional content above buggy any day of the week.

But you have fun at the top there. It's pretty lonely when you aren't geared up properly.

Those zones I mentioned are in large part complete, there is minor tweeks to quest functionality going on every week with zones spanning lvl 1-50. The zones I mentioned all have armor,weapons,etc above and beyond MoP this you can not argue. I've said it before I purpousely held back from the bleeding edge, my core grps just now hitting 42-40 so were hardly sitting at lvl 50 lacking gear. Yes some of these zone not all have recently been brought online. Though the message you two Renfail/Leaf are putting out there just isnt true. There are plenty of places to go get gear complete or not its your problem if you choose to avoid them if you don't deem them 100% complete.
