You gotta do more than just swing a weapon to be a good tank. You must be playing with those people that try to pull agro every fight just so they can say "zomg I pulled agro!"

Graystone Bladestaff finally uses correct skill sets (Bladed Staff/2 Hand Pierce), thanks 8).

Its does retain the stick icon of a Martial Staff though, although thats really a minor thing.

That's not an issue with the weapons themselves, though.

As an update to my first post, the same issue (missing graphic) was mentioned by another player on Silky Venom and it was noted that the issue is known and will be rectified. I wonder whether it was just some sort of glitch, or if these weapons are getting different graphics?

You are correct there is a lot of factors in that like the tank, groups agro control but as of now agro is still wack, and 2h > 1h

imho when choosing which weapon reward to go with on a quest like this

I used to be 2hand only, but since i am 48 and mobs hit a little harder (add to that the fix on paladin defensive aura finally giving more hate) i do a lot better with a 1hand + shield, i lose a big % of dps but not like tanks dps is noticable in a full group and i gain a huge boost on mele evasion from shield.

So the reward choice for this type of quest (lvl 46..) could be a 1hand if you are able to hold agro with it (aka if you are a paladin, i don't know about War and DK but they used to have better agro than paladin at end of beta).

Ps : if you have troubles holding agro, using macros can help a lot... .

What more would you want on it? I can't add anything that's not ranged-based (ie, attributes, resists, haste, etc...). It can only be the ranged offense mods or something like +archery, +bow, etc...

If I put a proc on it, everyone is going to want a darn proc and the meelee weapons for this quest are already frickin' powerful :)

Hmm, it still looks like a martial staff though (actual game graphics) - not like a bladed staff (well like a christmas decoration to be fair, but that's how highlevel martial staves look I suppose!). ^^

It'll take a patch before the fix to the icon goes in. I wish I could change things directly on Live but, to be honest, that ability would cause more problems than it'd solve
