Are getting ridiculous.

I really dont see how I am going to afford it unless people start buying my junk off broker.

I was grouping in a place for 1 and 1/2 hours and with no deaths I lost 65% on my weapons .

Item decay and repair costs are just fucking not what we need in game anyway. Item decay is nothing more than an "annoying and invasive" mechanic. Right Brad?

Ya it gets frustrating when you end the day with less cash then you started with. While in my 20's I mainly hunted cis area and I would always end the day with less cash then I started with. Then I would go spend a day or 2 at TK and I would walk away with at least 1gp a day profit. Just seems itemization(sp?) is a bit off. Maybe its because cis area is a bit on the easy side compared to the dungeon crawl 3-4 pull style of TK. It's great being a Tank.

Losing 65% durability while making 2 silver is just off. It cost half that to repair my weapon. At level 23 I shouldnt be scraping to pay for repairs. I understand its a gold sink to keep people from amassing huge amounts of plat or whatever but its horribly failed. Needing to repair so often and for so much is not only annoying but unfair.

Tanks rely most on gear than any other class to be effective. They also take the largest hits in durability. So while we are already less cash from buying upgrades, we are down even more because we are forced to spend massive amounts of coin on repairs.

I was fine on cash till around 20. I went from slowly building up an ok amount to being broke.


I cant play the broker game. I HATE with a passion trading and selling. Its not the part of the game I like I cnat sit there searching for good deals and reselling its boring. I prefer to make my cash through killing stuffs (or maybe through diplomacy I do like diplomacy). I also prefer to get my gear this way, but at 18 I was horribly undergeared and had to shell out some coin to upgrade.

Figure its no big deal. Then 24 hours later Im scraping together enough just to pay for my spells and repairs.

Item decay is a silly feature anyway. I hated it in EQ2 and WoW. Its just annoying. It doesnt increase the challenge of the game. Its only tedious. Its also extremely unbalanced. Atleast in WOW it was done right, I never went broke repairing. EQ2 I only played to 29, but I never had a problem repairing in that either.

So I think Sigil needs to remove or fix item decay. Either significantly decrease the cost of repairing/rate of decay or increase vendor trash to sell for more than it costs to repair.

Not only are we always looking for the best items so we can tank those hits but we need the best weopons we can find to hold the hate together. Having items well over our lvl doesn't help either. I have noticed that the higher the lvl or the item the faster it decays. So yea its a pita and a huge money sink.

Only reason I'm still playing is bc im 2 boxing, so my cleric is atleast making a whe bit more cash that he can donate to my tank to keep up with the bills at lvl 29 I have a whooping 2 gold in total on both of my toons, I have spent a total off 3 gold on items, the rest has been donated from good friends.

Sigil if you cant find the problem, please remove Item decay until you do, atm tank clases get WAY WAY back on the cash front.

I agree losing battle and personally people are trying to save for the rediculous cost of housing and ships and this is crazy...

I have a level 26 Paladin. Some of my items are quite expensive to repair, but I don't have a problem with the repair costs as a whole. For those people who say they don't make enough money to repair, you need to turn cash looting on. Mobs don't carry a lot of cash. The real money comes as vendor junk.

I have a static group i always group with including my wife and the others in my group help me with my repair bill. I have almost all yellow or higher gear and it blows my repair bill for a 2 hour grind seesion (which all my armor breaks even with 0 deaths) is around 25silver at level 32.

THAT SUCKS

I barely make enough money to pay the bill and i feel that if it wasn't for donations and my friends i would have probably quit being a tank along time ago. As a tank i spend more time repairing then any of the others. My stuff is broken and they are barly 50%. I had to go repair every 2 hours during the double exp weeekend. i mean tis hard to explore a dungeon and really tear it apart in 2 hours.

REPAIR IS SOMEHTING THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. IN BETA WITH NO REPAIR I COULD MAKE MONEY. and not pull my hair out over how poor i am.
