Admitedly a low season, Antioche has yet to see his first Graft. The spell was given a level or so ago I think to search a body for one. It yields only the occasional extra few copper in a mutilated organ or the like.
I have cast thw spell now, maybe 150 times? gained a level since I got it. Never seen a graft. IS there a certain TYPE or LEVEL of creature that drops grafts? NOT looking for a 'spoiler' just a little nudge in the proper direction or even a "keep at it.." ? Getting used to a Necromancer is difficult. I have been playing a Mage on EQ for many years, Always pushing the envelope as it were, I ran an ALT cleric who had been my main at the same time during the last six months or so JUST to heal my pet so I could kill things WAY outta my 'league' to keep it fun. I'm not used to my pet getting his arse handed to him, also not used to it costing ME life to heal him, I guess I need to learn to fear Kite, and work on agrro managment with DoTs ..I DO find it interesting to be able to stand in physical combat..and have my pet maintain agrro..THAT is weird ( Pets in EQ could not under ANY circumstance command agrro from a pc that was in melee proximity to a mob, left you running around like a madman sometimes trying to let your pet get agrro to scrape something off you...here..ya just stand there and wince... |

First, the grafts...
These don't seem to drop as often as they should. I have cast this spell many hundreds (thousands?) of times in my 30 odd levels and could probably count my hits on one hand. I ended up simply purchasing mine from the player based vendor system. However, they do appear to drop from virtually any mob. It is a low chance, but the mob type is largely irrelevant. As for your observations about the class in general, painful and frustrating is how I would describe the progression thus-far. The class seems to come into it's own around level 30 and is actually becoming fun to play finally. I probably wouldn't go through it again though. Necros still have some major issues that need to be resolved but I'll let you judge for yourself as you progress. Final word though is hang in there. You may go through a phase of utter frustration while fighting some crazy ideas from Uncle Brads lab, but it does eventually get better. Just lye back and think of England until you get toward mid - 20's then things begin to improve. At 30 you will be pleased you did.
