ATI Radeon x1300 512 7.2 catalyst

Two problems........

Trying this for a mate at work that can't get on net atm. Crashing every 20mins when online. Anyone have any ideas why? Tryed downloading the newest drivers, but no change. I also tryed the VSOH recommened drivers for this card with no results either.

Also originally switched from an ATI Radeon x800pro 256, and believe it or not he's getting much worse performance with the new card even though the graphics are better at same graphical settings in game.

Does anyone have any fixes or suggestions he can try before he smashes his card.

X1300 is a low end card, much lower end then a X800pro I am afraid. Its a generation newer so it sports some newer settings such as HDR and proper bloom effects, as well as HQ AF.

Unfortunately X1300 is very low end, recommend he returns is and upgrades to a x1950GT or X1900GT or X1950pro. Even a X1650 series would be an imporovement.

All though I am not the biggest Tomshardware fan, here is a link to their VGA charts, take it with a grain of salt, but its a good ball park measure. You will see that the X1300 series is well below the X800 series.
