A Song of Fire and Ice

Fantastic series. I just started reading it. I was getting a little burnt out on Robert Jordan, and I saw a lot of hype about GRRM. So, I decided to give it a shot. I must say that I am hooked.

I found out about a week ago that HBO is making his books a series. Exciting times. I am almost finished with the first book. I hope to have them all completed before the mini series begins.

Favorite fantasy series of all time.

Also enjoy: Robert Jordan, Terry Goodkind (meh), and of course Tolkien for fantasy...for Sci Fi, check out Frank Herbert (godlike - Dune series is a fucking masterpiece), Orson Scott Card (low-level read but great story), Isaac Asimov (Robot and Foundation series).

Can't think of any others at the moment, but there are a few others that I enjoy.
